Invitation: International Tuesdays 2021/22

Also on behalf of Vice President Torsten Meier we’d like to cordially invite you to the winter semester’s  International Tuesdays, which will take place every Tuesday between 1 and 2 pm from 23 November 2021 until 1 February, 2022.

Many units and people at UPB are involved in the university's internationalisation process. The International Tuesdays, which took place in the summer semester 2021 for the first time, offer all interested members of UPB the opportunity to learn more about UPB’s internationalisation activities and invites them to exchange ideas, experiences and best practices. Thus, the new format intends to create a platform that offers interdisciplinary, cross-sectional networking opportunities.

The events will each be organised by different departments and members of UPB and will each address different target groups

Among others, the International Affairs unit of the AStA and the Foreign Students' Representation (ASV) as well as Paderborn University’s Technical Intercultural China Competence Center (TiCK) will present themselves. The International Office will give an overview of tools for international marketing initiatives, the colleagues from Research Service & Consulting will inform about European joint projects and excellence programmes, and the Center for Language Studies will share their experiences with virtual mobility. Furthermore, the International Spring Program (ISP) as well as the International Students Forum (ISF) of the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics will be presented. Torsten Meier will give an overview of internationalisation at Paderborn University as well as of the status of the application as a European University Alliance. Interested students will have the opportunity to learn about possible career paths in international organisations during a roundtable discussion with UPB alumni. This event will be jointly moderated by the Campus OWL Liaison Office in New York and the International Alumni Relations Office of UPB. Please note that this last event will take place on 1 February at 2pm due to organisational reasons.

You can find an overview of the events and a more detailed description on the event series’ web page upb.de/international-tuesdays. The International Tuesdays will take place via Zoom. The link can also be found on the web page. Prior registration is not required.
