About Andrea Zinke

My research explores the ways in which the use of artificial intelligence is reshaping teaching, learning and assessment in higher education. I am particularly interested in how approaches to competence development may be reconceptualised in this evolving landscape, and in the opportunities universities have to engage proactively with these emerging trajectories.

Within the ASBE programme at the University of Paderborn, I contribute to the systematic development of international learning environments. A central focus of the programme is the promotion of student mobility to East Asia, as well as the support of incoming students from our partner institutions in China, Japan and South Korea. My responsibilities include embedding global perspectives within the curricula of the faculty’s Master’s programmes, providing organisational and academic support for international exchange processes, and advancing globally oriented teaching formats. I also place strong emphasis on fostering intercultural competence development. Through these activities, we aim to cultivate a learning environment in which global perspectives are firmly embedded in the student experience.

We can only see a short distance ahead, but we can see plenty there that needs to be done. - Alan Turing
