Paderborn University is deeply concerned about the current situation in Iran and the distress it may be causing members of our university with personal ties to the region. We recognize that many Iranian students and colleagues are currently facing an exceptional emotional and psychological burden, marked by worry for family and friends and by uncertainty due to severely limited communication.
The University expresses its solidarity with all those affected and wishes to assure them that they are not alone. We encourage students and staff who feel overwhelmed or in need of support to make use of the counseling, psychological, and advisory services available at Paderborn University. Where possible, we also ask instructors and supervisors to show understanding and flexibility in light of this extraordinary situation.
Our thoughts are with all members of our community who are experiencing these difficult circumstances.
