Energy Efficient Experimental Vibration Analysis

Overview

The aim of the project is to validate an adaptive control method in conjunction with the use of an innovative coupling element for the efficient analysis of unknown non-linear vibration behavior of mechanical structures. Modern resource-saving structures exhibit an ever increasing degree of non-linear behavior due to lightweight construction, new materials and more efficient designs. Up to now, this has been taken into account in the test bench equipment for experimental vibration analysis with complex iteration loops. Using the new methods of the ENEXAL project, a target excitation force is precisely and highly dynamically controlled, resulting in a reduced number of test loops. This results in significant energy savings and the avoidance of preliminary damage to the test specimen.
