About Jonas Jalowy
Curriculum Vitae
01.02.2016 - 01.02.2025: Academic Career
Previously, I was Postdoc in Münster as a member the SPP2265, in the working groups of Martin Huesmann, Matthias Erbar and Matthias Löwe. I graduated in 2020, under the supervision of Friedrich Götze and as a member of the IRTG2235.
Research
Research Interests
My research primarily focuses on various aspects of point processes, at the interface of probability, analysis, and mathematical physics. Ultimately, I find probability theory as a whole fascinating and I am working on…
- point processes
- roots of (random) polynomials
- random matrices
- spin systems
I enjoy visualizing my research and building connections to other fields, such as free probability, potential theory, or optimal transport.
