On Tuesday, 16 January, Paderborn University's International Office bid farewell to 84 exchange students from all over the world. They all spent the winter semester 2023/24 in Paderborn. The students from 42 partner universities from 20 different countries came to Paderborn in September. After five months, 43 of them will return to their home universities. The others stay in Paderborn for a second semester. Together with the student initiative Eurobiz, everyone was able to look back on the past few months.

"The time has flown by. Thank you for the shared memories. We wish you all the best for the future," said Martina Schrade from the International Office. In addition to lectures and seminars, numerous excursions and cultural events were on the programme for the international students. Two of the students presented their impressions and experiences from the past few months in Paderborn in a slide show. Afterwards, everyone had the opportunity to talk about their time together and take photos.

Alongside Martina Schrade, Nicole Struzek, Heike Stiller and Brigitte Rohde from the International Office provided information at the farewell event about the organisational steps that still need to be completed before departure. On 5 March, the new exchange students for the summer semester 2024 will be given a warm welcome.
