As part of the event “Dimensions of Concern: Images and Narratives of Solidarity in a Post-Migrant Society” at Paderborn University, an interdisziplinär workshop will take place on Friday 3 July from 9.30 am at the International Meeting Centre (IBZ) in the Jenny-Aloni-Haus.
From 4 to 18 July, students from Paderborn University will be exhibiting their sculptures and prints at the ‘point of view’ art exhibition in the ‘Raum für Kunst’ (Kamp 21, 33098 Paderborn) and warmly invite anyone interested to attend.
From 7 to 9 July, a series of events at garage33, the Paderborn University start-up centre, will explore various aspects of the food supply chain from a sustainability perspective.
Every first Tuesday of the month, German and international doctoral candidates at all stages of their doctorate and from all faculties are welcome to join us for lunch in the "Mensula".
On Tuesday, 7 July, from 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm, members of the university community can gain an insight into AnnoPy – a tool developed at Paderborn University – either in room H2.211 or online via Zoom. The programme is designed to help students actively engage with academic texts and promotes discussion about text comprehension in both face-to-face and blended-learning settings.

As part of the public lecture series "Schule der Vielen - Bildungsperspektiven für eine heterogene Gesellschaft", CLAIM - Allianz gegen Islam- und Muslimfeindlichkeit will be holding a lecture on Tuesday, 7 July on the topic of "Antimuslim racism - challenges for school culture".
Under the title "Cultural Perspectives on Gender", the international lecture series of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Paderborn University in the summer semester 2026 is dedicated to the topic of "gender" from interdisziplinär and international perspectives.
As part of the lecture series "Education in the digital transformation. A lecture series for student teachers", Clara-Vivian Amann will give a lecture on Thursday, 9 July on the topic "'Irritated, and now?' On the way between transformation and irritation: Rethinking educational processes".
As part of the "UPB for Future" sustainability lecture series, Emily Nass will give a lecture on "Sustainable Leadership: Understanding and developing current perspectives" on Thursday, 9 July from 4.15 to 5.45 p.m. in lecture theatre L1.
The Ukrainian Film Festival NRW and the ‘Film&Dialog’ programme are also being hosted at Paderborn University this year. On Friday 10 July, there will be a screening of the award-winning Ukrainian feature film “Honeymoon” (“Медовий Місяць”) by director Zhanna Ozirna, which will also serve as the basis for a subsequent panel discussion.
Under the motto "KW writes (better) together", the Graduate Centre of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (GKW) and the Writing Competence Centre organise a monthly interdisciplinary writing group. The meeting on Monday, 13 July, will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. in room H3.241 and hybrid via Zoom.
Under the title ‘TÄNZE’, the Paderborn University Orchestra will present a wide-ranging programme of symphonic dance music on Monday 13 July at 8 pm in the Audimax at Paderborn University.
Dr Anda-Lisa Harmening from the Graduate Centre of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (GKW) and Prof. Dr Ingrid Scharlau, from the Department of Psychology and Head of Mentoring Programmes and the Writing Centre at Paderborn University, will be answering questions on Tuesday, 14 July, in room H3.241, they will be answering questions about PhD supervision and the role of PhD students in this process.

As part of the public lecture series "Schule der Vielen - Bildungsperspektiven für eine heterogene Gesellschaft", the theatre performance "Beyond the lines" by Susanne Höcker and Jürgen Larys from artENSEMBLE THEATER Bochum will take place on Tuesday, 14 July.
The studio concert is the traditional end-of-semester event for the music teacher education degree programmes and will take place on Tuesday 14 July at 7 pm in the Audimax at Paderborn University. As usual, the students have put together a programme featuring a wide variety of musical styles and are looking forward to presenting their work to the public.
On Tuesday, 14 July, the Lichtblick arthouse cinema will be showing the film "The Man Who Lived Twice" ("Seconds") at 8.30 pm in the Pollux cinema in Paderborn.
Through Paderborn University’s peer mentoring programme “Einblick!”, female students can find out whether a PhD is the right choice for them. The next intake starts in September. Anyone interested can find out more about the programme during an online event on Wednesday 15 July, from 1 pm to 2 pm.

To conclude the lecture series "Carl Maria von Weber: Music - Edition - Interpretation", Dr Andreas Friesenhagen and Prof. Dr Joachim Veit from the Musicology Seminar Detmold/Paderborn will give a lecture on Wednesday, 15 July on the topic of "Tracking down the 'domestic musical sense': Weber's tonal language in chamber music and song".

On Wednesday, 23 September, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the annual Paderborn Foreign Language Day will once again take place at Paderborn University. At the main entrance to the university, the popular event offers around 30 training programmes on current topics and issues relating to modern foreign language teaching in English, French and Spanish.
