Extending or shortening your stay abroad

Extending for one semester

If you would like to extend your originally for one semester planned stay abroad, please send us the corresponding application no later than one month before the end of your planned period of stay (as stated in the Grant Agreement). You can obtain this from the International Office on request.

The application must be signed by you, the Incomings Coordinator at the partner university as well as the Departmental Coordinator at Paderborn University.

As soon as we receive the signed application form, we will extend the Erasmus+ grant funding period and send you a written confirmation if required.

Shortening your stay by one semester

If you originally planned to spend two semesters abroad but wish to complete your stay after one semester, please inform

  • the Incomings Coordinator at the partner university,
  • the Programme Coordinator at Paderborn University, and
  • the Erasmus+ Coordinator at Paderborn University as quickly as possible.

We will send you a written demand for the repayment of any Erasmus+ grant money received in excess. Please transfer the sum using the account details and payment reference as soon as possible.
