About Alex Suri

About Me

Welcome to my homepage. I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Paderborn.

My primary research interests lie in the applications of infinite dimensional geometry in hydrodynamics and relativity.

Academic Background & Career

  • Postdoctoral Researcher, University of Paderborn, Germany (2021 – Present)
  • Assistant Professor, Bu-Ali Sina University, Iran (2011 – 2021)
  • PhD in Mathematics, Isfahan University of Technology, Iran (2011)
  • Visiting Researcher, University of Regensburg, Germany (2009 – 2010)

Please note that my peer-reviewed publications are authored and indexed under my former name, Ali Suri.

Motivated by the perspective that infinite-dimensional geometry describes some complex physical systems, I view fluid flows as geodesics on infinite-dimensional manifolds. I seek to uncover the geometric principles governing geometric hydrodynamics and relativity, bridging rigorous math and real-world physical models.
