On 5 October 2026, the Welcome Services for international researchers and staff at Paderborn University invited participants to a semester kick-off bowling event. A total of 15 participants accepted the invitation and spent a varied evening together in a sociable atmosphere. For many, bowling was a special experience, as they had never played before.
At the beginning, the group split up across three adjacent lanes and started playing together. After each completed round, the groups were reshuffled, creating new opportunities for conversation throughout the evening and enabling participants to get to know many more people.
The event was marked by great enjoyment and a lively atmosphere. In addition to bowling together, many participants took the opportunity to round off the evening in a relaxed setting over drinks and snacks. The guests were very pleased with the event and expressed their thanks for the successful organisation of the joint bowling evening.
