Further information on the panel discussion:

With the strengthening of right-wing populist, anti-democratic and neoliberal forces in Europe (and elsewhere), (collective) solidarity appears to be a crucial key concept and a necessary social practice. In the discussion, the participants want to work out the different challenges for solidary practices in science and democracy. In doing so, they will turn their gaze inwards - to the scientific enterprise - and outwards - in the sense of civil society collaborations. In intersectional perspectives, the scientists will jointly search for services that science can and, if necessary, should provide - in the fight for social, (climate) political justice on an institutional and societal level.
