Paderborn University is once again taking part in this year's nationwide "Future Day", which takes place on Thursday, 23 April. Girls'Day gives schoolgirls the opportunity to get a taste of technology-orientated and scientific fields of study and careers in which women are less frequently represented.
There are various programmes to choose from in the STEM fields (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences, technology). For example, schoolgirls can gain practical insights into Electrical Engineering in the workshop "Soldering, wiring, programming: Insights into studying Electrical Engineering and into professional practice". Under the motto "Girls Do Mathematics", schoolgirls can also find out what it's like to be a technomathematician in practice and learn about various examples of how maths is used in everyday life.
Further information on the wide range of offers and registration can be found on the event page. It pays to be quick: participation is limited to a limited number.
