From Monday to Friday, 20 to 24 November, the Faculty of Cultural Studies and the PLAZ - Professional School of Education invite all interested students to the information week "Ab ins Ausland". On five consecutive days, the interdisciplinary team, the institutes of the faculty and the International Office of the University of Paderborn will inform and advise participants about various opportunities to go abroad during their studies. In addition to already established events, a varied programme with some innovations awaits the students. Participation in all events of the info week "Ab ins Ausland" is free of charge and possible without registration.
Info week offers a varied programme
On Monday, there will be a panel discussion on the topic of "Stays abroad during your studies". As in every semester, student teachers from all faculties are invited to find out about internships abroad at schools and about the "International Practical Semester" on Tuesday. At the new "Meet, Mingle & More" event on Wednesdays from 5 p.m., interested students can exchange ideas with fellow students, professors and staff who already have experience abroad, and during the newly launched "Open Office" event they can talk to representatives of the individual institutes and receive subject-related information.
New events include "Internationalisation at Home" (also on Wednesday), a special workshop on prejudices, false expectations and fears during a stay abroad, and the "International Quiz Night" (both on Thursday). On Friday, doctoral students from the Faculty of Cultural Studies will learn about stays abroad during the doctoral phase. As in previous semesters, there will also be an event at the end with special information on stays abroad for students with special needs (e.g. students with chronic illnesses, physical impairments or family responsibilities).
After the information week, a PANDA course is also available with important information on the individual events, students' testimonials, contact details for various counselling options and further information material.
Further information, access to the PANDA course and the complete programme are available on the event website.
