Mentoring is an effective human resources development tool that has proven to be useful especially regarding support of young, well-qualified women. In a direct one-to-one relationship, an experienced professor (mentor) offers her individual and practical advice to a competent female doctoral student (mentee): mentors support doctoral students in terms of career development and provide constructive feedback concerning the mentees´ performance and competences. Moreover, they explain unstated rules of the academic community and help their mentees entering professional networks.
Depending on the mentees choice, we try to recruit well-experienced professors from universities or research centers for our program.
