Orientation Week at Paderborn University

Dear first semester students, transfer students and Master's students,

In order to make your start into your studies easier, the orientation phase (also called O-Phase) takes place before the beginning of the lecture period. This phase provides you with the necessary assistance to orientate yourself at Paderborn University and in your studies. Take the time to be equipped with all the important information for the start of your studies!

Did you miss the Orientation phase?

No problem!

You can still get started on your degree programme, create a timetable, register for courses and be accepted into practice groups. Simply get in touch with the relevant contact person for your degree programme, whose contact details can be found in this overview.

What can I do before the orientation phase?

We have put together all the important information for you to ensure that your start at university is a success. Here you will find a practical guide to the first steps, useful tools and the right places to go if you have any questions.

Student councils

The student councils are often one of the first points of contact for new students and will provide you with help and advice during the orientation days. In addition, the student councils will provide you with both your fresher's bag and the code for your digital fresher's bag which is provided by the ASTA and contains digital vouchers for the start of your studies, with which you can discover Paderborn at a "student price". You can find the link to your student council here.
