Michelle Jaqueline Mertens

Michelle Mertens has been a research assistant at the Chair of Business Administration, esp. Marketing and Digital Transformation, since July 2023.

Her research focuses on marketing in the digital age. In particular, she deals with the effects that increasing digitality has on purchasing decisions and customer relationships.

Previously, she worked as a Digital Marketing Specialist at Cisco Systems in Cologne from 2021 to 2023. Her responsibilities included content marketing, international digital marketing, campaign management and website A/B testing in the B2B sector.

From 2016 to 2022, she studied linguistics at the University of Paderborn. During this period, she focussed on marketing, communication and digitality.

From 2020 to 2022, she received a Deutschlandstipendium scholarship for high-achieving and committed students. Since 2018, she has been a volunteer member of the PR team of the organisation LEODEUTSCHLAND and founder and chairwoman of the NGO Smile for Children e.V., focusing on management and public relations.
