Members of the Young Collegium of the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences and Arts

The " Young Collegium" of the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences and Arts is funded by the Mercator Foundation. It is one of the largest funding programs of a private foundation for the promotion of young scientists in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Young scientists are supported professionally, financially and ideally. Members receive an annual scholarship of 10,000 euros for up to four years as well as intensive professional support. The requirements for membership in the Young Collegium are outstanding scientific achievements at a university or research institution in North Rhine-Westphalia in addition to a doctorate. New members must not be older than 36 years at the time of their admission to the collegium and must not yet hold a permanent university teaching position.
