 |  CampusStudiesNews

From 15 March to 7 May 2024, currently enrolled and future students can apply for a Deutschlandstipendium from the OWL Study Fund Foundation

Anyone studying at Bielefeld University, Paderborn University, Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences, Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences or Detmold University of Music in the coming winter semester 2024/25 can apply. Prospective students are also invited to apply now. School and academic achievements as well as voluntary work and particularly challenging personal circumstances, such as caring for children or relatives in need of care, are taken into account when selecting scholarship holders. Overcoming biographical hurdles can also be included in the assessment.

The scholarships are awarded as part of the Deutschlandstipendien programme and amount to 3,600 euros per year. The grant is independent of income and also independent of BAföG. The money is freely available and does not have to be repaid. Currently, 560 students at the five universities participating in the OWL Study Fund are being supported.

Each Deutschlandstipendium is financed in equal parts by 1,800 euros from federal funds and donations from the sponsors of the OWL Study Fund. These sponsors include companies, foundations, associations and private individuals from the OWL region. In addition to financial support, the OWL Study Fund offers an extensive non-material support programme in cooperation with its sponsors.
