In Europe, the use of innovative information and communication technologies (ICT) in the vocational education is considered a priority for years. Despite numerous successful programs, (model-) projects and initiatives, large differences can be identified in the member states of the EU regarding the establishment of e-learning in vocational schools or rather in institutions of vocational education and further education. A prerequisite to increase the importance of e-learning at vocational schools or rather generally in vocational and further education is the awareness of teachers of the benefits of e-learning and an according support of teachers as "e-tutors". Not only appropriate skills among learners are necessary for the successful use of e-Learning, the teacher has to fulfill the tasks of an "E-Tutor" as well. These challenges were taken up in the project.
