The book “Female Professors in Portrait” presents profiles of 51 female professors (published January 2012), with photos of the academics and researchers on campus and at work and text providing an insight into their respective professional backgrounds and careers. All the women featured share an enthusiasm for their profession and specialist area, as well much curiosity, resilience and a joy of discovery. In this book, they address both the advantages of the profession and role models for female early-career researchers and junior academics.

Short film “Female Professors at Paderborn University”

The short film “Female Professors at Paderborn University” was made in co-operation with documentary filmmaker and Paderborn University lecturer Bernhard Koch (Schwarzer Panther Film). The film takes a closer look at the individual work of some of the women featured in the portrait book. The professors, from different faculties, present their research work at Paderborn University and share their views on what is important for young women studying for a career in academia.
