The programs, opportunities and support offered vary and range from training and qualification measures for female early-career researchers and junior academics and female students to support for university parents within the scope of the “Family-friendly University” initiative. On 22 November 2005, Paderborn University was the first university in NRW to be awarded the designation of “family-friendly university”.
