Our partners' e-learning offerings add flexible formats to our ongoing workshop program. Learners can choose between (and combine) synchronous and asynchronous learning formats.

The advantages of our partner TwentyOneSkills at a glance:

  • Target group-specific qualification of key competencies in science
  • Unlimited access to the entire Twentyoneskills course program
  • Self-determined learning, when and where you want it
  • Cross-location networking with other participants of the Germany-wide offer

The TwentyOne Skills learning platform currently offers more than 30 courses and is constantly being expanded and updated. A complete overview of the courses currently available can be found here.

The following key areas are covered by the e-learnings:

► Science Communication
► Career planning
► Communication and presentation
► Time management
► Good scientific practice
► New Work and Leadership
► Agility and design thinking
► Mental health

"Deep Dives" e-learnings with a learning duration of 2-3 hours. Deep Dives present a topic in detail.
"Nuggets" Compact e-learnings with a focus on the concrete teaching of a technique or method (learning time approx. 20 minutes).
Live formats Regular live sessions (online, 1h each) offer the opportunity to exchange ideas about course content, the application of methods or individual questions, which are then answered by experts. An overview of some exemplary live sessions can be found here.

How can I use the e-learning offer? As part of the project, the Staff Development Department is issuing a limited number of licenses to use the TwentyOneSkills e-learning platform. As a participant, you will receive access to the platform, through which you can access all courses and participate in live sessions. If you are interested, please fill out our registration form at the bottom of this webpage and briefly tell us in the "Comments" section why/with what purpose you would like to take advantage of the offer.

Do I have to pay for the license? No, the use is free of charge for you. The offer is open for all scientists of the University of Paderborn.

How long can I use the license? The license to use the e-learning platform is initially activated for 4 months. If you would like to continue using the e-learning beyond this period, we can extend the license for a further four months, subject to availability. It is also possible to start using the license at a later date.

Do I have to study on my own? You can, if you wish, complete the courses of your choice all by yourself. Optionally, you can also network with other users in the form of a learning tandem as well as via the live sessions.

Will I receive a certificate? You can use the platform to obtain a certificate of attendance for each course you complete. Participants in the certificate program "Qualifizierung für Berufsfelder in Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft" can have completed e-learning modules credited to the program to the extent of a maximum of 8 work units by arrangement.

What does participation in the project mean for me? All participants can use the program for an unlimited period of 4 months. In return, we expect you to participate in the evaluation of the program at the end of the pilot phase and reflect on your learning experience.

What happens after registration? You will receive timely feedback from us as to whether you have received a place in the current group. You will then receive the login data as well as information on the further course of the project and the (optional) tandem program.
