Lecturers who teach courses in any discipline in English.

Number of participants

max. 7 people (Note: Lecturers will meet individually with the programme coordinator).

Content

Would you like to communicate more clearly and confidently in English while teaching and interacting with students? Would you appreciate receiving constructive and confidential feedback on your English oral skills, perhaps in preparation for a sabbatical abroad? Whether you are a novice or an experienced instructor, this programme offers personalised support tailored to your needs.

The programme is designed to refine the teaching and communication skills of professors, lecturers, and doctoral students who use English as their medium of instruction. Areas of support can include pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and diction, clear communication of instructions, writing teaching scripts, interacting with students, and creating clear lecture slides.

After identifying areas in which you would like support, Dr. Pamela Heidi Douglas––a fellow UPB lecturer and native English speaker––will visit one of your teaching sessions and provide one-on-one feedback afterward. Later in the semester, Heidi can revisit one of your course sessions and provide you with a second round of feedback. All feedback will be confidential, nonjudgmental, constructive, and aimed at fostering teaching excellence.
