Equality plans
In order to promote equal opportunities for women and men across all status and employment categories and to eliminate structural disadvantages, Paderborn University has, since 2000, consistently adopted a framework plan on gender equality for the entire university. On the basis of this framework plan, the faculties, central departments and the administration of Paderborn University draw up specific equality plans for their respective areas, setting out concrete targets and deadlines as well as measures to increase the proportion of women. At the end of the plans’ three- to five-year term, they are reviewed for effectiveness and relevance, and, where necessary, supplemented and updated.
