Getting started with writing

Once you have read the literature and worked through the preparation process of your writing project, it can be difficult to actually get started with writing. It can also be challenging to get back into it after after long breaks from it too. This workshop will help you get into the swing of writing your thesis. By reflecting on your own writing strategies and trying out different writing methods, you’ll learn how to tailor your approach to writing to suit you best.

Contents

  • Overcoming barriers to writing
  • Developing helpful writing routines
  • Reflecting on and expanding your own writing strategies
  • Getting started with writing through text planning
  • Trying out and applying writing methods in a targeted way

If you’d like to take part in the workshop, you should have a writing project in mind (e.g. a term paper, essay, portfolio or dissertation) and have done some preparatory work – that is, you should have developed some potential content for your text (it does not need to be perfect yet).

Date

Monday, August 10th, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE: Bilingual participation is not yet available! As it is a brand new workshop, we are still working on making the bilingual participation option possible. If you are comfortable with it, you are welcome to join regardless, of course.
