An international research team involving the Institute for Photonic Quantum Systems (PhoQS) at Paderborn University has made significant progress in the research of so-called quantum materials.
Dedicated pupils from the 8th grade onwards from all seven districts and independent cities in Ostwestfalen-Lippe (OWL) can apply for the scholarship programme until Monday, 15 June.
Dr Benjamin Delarue, research associate at the Institute of Mathematics at Paderborn University, has been accepted into the prestigious Heisenberg Programme of the German Research Foundation (DFG).

Dr Filip Sośnicki from the University of Warsaw has been awarded a Humboldt Research Fellowship for postdoctoral researchers and will continue his research at the Institute for Photonic Quantum Systems (PhoQS) at Paderborn University over the next two years.

A joint team from Paderborn University and the University of Siegen has won a research competition in the field of power electronics. They finished ahead of top international universities.
Paderborn University, Bielefeld University, Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences (HSBI) and Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences (TH OWL) are launching the digital series "Impulse im Studium" on 6 May.

After three years of development work, the scientists have created a freely accessible multimedia platform on which exciting stories can be read interactively by children.
The official ceremony for the awarding of the European Heritage Label took place in Brussels on Wednesday 22 April at the Art and History Museum. A delegation from Paderborn accepted the award on behalf of the urban river landscape Pader.
This summer, a new research group will start at Paderborn University, focussing on the security of so-called cyber-physical systems. These are technical systems that only function through their networking via IT and the internet.
