Does passing an aptitude test put me at an advantage?
The bonus point system („Bonierung“) means the improvement of the average grade of the higher education entrance qualification through evidence of a passed aptitude test. This improvement is only valid within the selection procedure of courses with restricted admissions within specific teaching degree programmes and only for the passed aptitude test for the course Music or Art. For which teaching degree programmes the bonus point system is intended is described in the separate sections below.
Evidence of your specific aptitude for your chosen course have to be submitted within the online application.
If you took your aptitude test at another higher education institution, you will need to upload a proof of recognition of the aptitude test. For recognition of the already passed aptitude test please refer to:
- Frau Hegel (Kunst)
- Herrn Wiemann (Musik)
You can find further information on the Aptitude tests page.
Please note: Aptitude tests are not to be confused with special applications for an improvement of the average grade.
