Aptitude tests
For certain subjects in teaching degree programmes as well as bachelor degree programmes (see below), proof of having passed the aptitude test is mandatory for enrolment.
If you have passed the aptitude test at another university, you must have this aptitude test validated by the University of Paderborn. The certificate of this validation must then be submitted with the other enrolment documents.

In certain cases, successfully passing an aptitude test for the subjects Art or Music may put you at an advantage when it comes to the allocation of study places for degree programmes/subjects with restricted admissions. Further information here.

The aptitude test for Popular Music and Media is offered once a year in the summer term for enrolment in the winter semester. The test is initially completed online.
