Note
In addition to the Award for Innovation and Quality in Teaching, which promotes the testing and implementation of innovative concepts for university teaching and the further development and transfer of existing concepts, a further award, the Teaching Award for Early-Career Researchers and Junior Academics, is another point in the University Executive Board’s strategy of putting the spotlight on outstanding teaching. The aim of the Teaching Award for Early-Career Researchers and Junior Academics is to honour outstanding and exemplary teaching concepts and methods. The award also recognises achievements in teaching that have been achieved in traditional, well-established forms of teaching and that stand out for their exceptional quality. The prize is intended to highlight the special importance of university teaching for the education and training of early-career researchers and junior academics and to incentivise them for a career in university teaching.
