Peer Consultation - From peers to peers

Welcome to the web site of our peer writing tutors! They will help you with all matters concerned with academic writing. Consultation hours take place throughout the entire year (also during semester break!).

Latest News

Due to precautions trying to avoid spreading the coronavirus we would like to inform you about the following changes resulting from the current situation:

Throughout the next weeks, the writing consultations with our peer writing tutors will be organized via BigBlueButton. To arrange an appointment, please send us an e-mail. We offer the following consultation hours:

Monday, 2 - 4 p.m.
Tuesday, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Friday, 12 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Please notice: During the week of March 01-05, the Student Writing Consultation's regular office hours will be canceled. Instead, the consultation will take place around the clock during the Writer's Night! The consultation hour of Lisa Mauritz takes place as usual (see below).

On Monday and Tuesday, we offer consultations in German and English and give feedback on your German and English academic texts. Consultations in other languages and on texts in other languages are also possible on request. Consultations during the regular hours in ME and the university library are canceled for now.

You prefer a consultation with one of our research associates? Please make an appointment with Lisa Mauritz. Her consultation hour is Thursday, 3 - 5 pm.

Reader Feedback

If you wish to receive feedback on you (academic) text, please email us a 2-3-page excerpt, your feedback-matter and the drop-in hour you're planning on seeing us.

If you want to call in spontaneously, please bring along your printed text. Potential feedback-matters can be: text structure, argumentation, coherence, reader guidance, comprehensibility, and so forth. We will not proofread your text and can only focus on one matter at a time.
