New coronavirus regulations in Paderborn

To curb the spread of the coronavirus, new regulations will come info effect in Germany, starting Monday (2 November 2020).

Some of the new regulations are as follows:

  • Cafés, Restaurants and bars must close but most of them offer take away or delivery service. Information about restaurants and supermarkets that deliver food can be found in the FAQ.
  • Facilities like cinemas, theatres or gyms have to close.
  • Travelling within Germany for touristic reasons is prohibited.
  • A max. of 10 persons from 2 households are allowed to meet.

As the number of infections has increased in Paderborn, it is now also obligatory to wear a mask in the main shopping area in Paderborn. On this website you can find a picture in which the affected area is marked.

New entry regulations for travellers from risk areas

Since 8 November 2020, new regulations have been in force for those entering from risk areas. Now, it is obligatory to register online before entering Germany. After entry, travellers from risk areas have to self-quarantine for 10 days. The quarantine can be shortened by a negative corona test, which, however, can be done 5 days after entry, at the earliest. Further information can be found here.
