Spring Uni for girls
This year, Paderborn University will be once again hosting its annual Spring Uni event for girls aged 13-19.
A week-long programme of engaging lectures, lab experiments and workshops will give participants a taste of university life and the opportunity to learn more about the STEM subjects on offer at Paderborn University. The Spring Uni event will kick off with a welcome reception, followed by a campus tour on the Monday morning.
The participating girls will be able to, among other things, choose from a total of 14 lectures and 17 workshops and try their hand at exciting lab experiments. This will enable them to broaden their knowledge, get to know other participants and simply get a taste of everyday life as a student. In addition, participants will also have the opportunity to meet with a number of female students, academics and researchers, as well as women from business and industry, and to gain valuable insights into the world of work and university from them at a “speed dating” event. The event will come to an end with the certificate award ceremony on the Thursday afternoon.
Registration for the event is online.

Spring Uni is organised by Paderborn University’s “Women Shape the Information Society” project.
The project also organises the university’s Autumn Uni event, which is open to the same age group of girls as Spring Uni.
