Earmarked funds for gender equality measures in Collaborative Research Centers (Sonderforschungsbereiche)

Collaborative Research Centers (CRC) may request additional funding for gender equality measures. Up to 30,000 euros per year or 120,000 euros per funding period can be applied for with the establishment or continuation proposal as a lump sum. If necessary, this sum can also be distributed unevenly over the funding period, but it is not possible to subsequently shift approved funds to other funding years.

A brief outline of the funding requirements must be provided by presenting the planned measures. It should be specifically tailored to the needs of the Collaborative Research Center and relate to the existing measures at the universities, which are listed in the general part of the application.

Within the funding period, Collaborative Research Centers can also reassign CRC funds that have been saved elsewhere and use them for equal opportunities measures. A separate application is not necessary for this.
