Fees

DSH Course students have to pay course fees as well as semester fees.

Course fees

The course fee amounts to 500 Euro for each CEFR level.

Each course level takes 3 months (January to March / April to June / July to September / October to December).

Refugees who are qualified to study at a German university, you can apply via the International Office for an exemption of course fees, financed by the refuggee programm "NRWege ins Studium" (DAAD/MKW). In this case, please include a copy of your resident document in your application.
Asylum seekers need to be entitled to live in the district of Paderborn in order to be able to visit the course on a regular basis.

Semester fees

Language course participants are enrolled as students at the University of Paderborn and are therefore required to pay a semester fee which currently amounts to around 310,00 Euro per semester. This includes the price of the semester ticket which enables students to use local transport in all of North Rhine-Westphalia for free.

Please note: Even if you start in January or July, you have to pay the semester fees for the complete semester.

Course start in October and January Wintersemester (October 1st until March 31st)

Important

Course fees and semester fees have to be paid before the course starts. New students will receive payment instructions during enrolment.

Exemption from course fees for refugees

Please submit the form along with a copy of your residence document that proves your refugee background at the International Office at the latest until September 26, 2019.

New participants will receive the application form during enrolment.
