Language course participants are enrolled as students at the University of Paderborn. Here you can find information regarding the fees.
Information about the enrollment period is available in your admission letter. Enrollment beyond this period is only possible with an appointment and has to be finished at least one day before the placement test.
You need to bring these documents to enrollment:
- admission letter
- ID card/ passport with a valid visa or residence permit (Citizens of the European Union can enroll for the German course after submitting a valid identification document. Non-EU citizens need to provide their passports along with a visa or residence permit entitling them to attend the German course at Paderborn University. If you have obtained your residence title for a different purpose (e.g. for an au-pair stay, a language course in a different city, a study visa for another university, Schengen visa) you cannot enroll for our DSH course without prior written consent of Paderborn Immigration Office (“Ausländerbehörde Paderborn").)
- all other documents that are demanded on the first page of your admission
The course will start with a placement test to place you at the adequate course level. As the course prepares for science German, the course level may differ from certificates you have acquired at other institutions. Participation is obligatory. You will get more information at enrollment. Enrollment on the day of the placement test ist not possible.
