Forschungsdaten.info is the German-language information portal on research data management (FDM). With practice-oriented articles, the information platform introduces various areas of research data management. The articles cover the steps from planning the application for a research project, working with research data in everyday research, implementing the application through to publication, as well as the subsequent use of the resulting research data. Rights and obligations in dealing with research data are also covered. In addition, best practice examples and information material from the individual scientific disciplines provide suggestions for making research data more (re-)usable. In addition, FDM initiatives and projects from German-speaking countries present themselves on forschungsdaten.info. The platform is edited by a supraregional team of FDM specialists.

The National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI) is intended to "systematically develop, sustainably secure and make accessible the data holdings of science and research and to network them (inter)nationally. It will be established in a process driven by the scientific community as a networked structure of consortia acting on their own initiative". The University of Paderborn is involved in the NFDI consortium NFDI4Culture through ZenMEM.
