Jenny Aloni Center for Early-Career Researchers

Mission Statement

The provision of networked support across institutional boundaries for early-career researchers and junior academics is a top priority at Paderborn University. To this end, the Jenny Aloni Center for Early-Career Researchers has been set up as an institution that brings together all of the university’s faculties and various stakeholders, to jointly and closely co-ordinate the provision of high-quality tailored services for our doctoral candidates, postdocs and junior professors. The common goal is to offer early-career researchers and junior academics ideal conditions and the best possible support for completing their academic qualification at Paderborn University.

Within this network, the task of the Jenny Aloni Center for Early-Career Researchers is to offer interdisciplinary, extracurricular and cross-faculty training and qualification formats and to provide an overview of all the key information and advisory services for early-career researchers and junior academics at the university.

As a cross-faculty institution, the Jenny Aloni Center serves all early-career researchers and junior academics, and is therefore also tasked with bringing together the university’s different faculty cultures and creating an interdisciplinary meeting space – in this respect, the centre sees itself as having a special connection with the author after whom it is named.
