Content and Inspiration for your teaching

The conversion from teaching based on presence of students and lecturers to private study with feedback is a fastidious didactic task which needs time for planning and preparation of appropriate material for private studies, formulating tasks and the production of videos. But not every content has to be recreated. Various content is already accessible for your teaching.

Lecture recordings of other universities

As Paderborn University uses its own video portal, other universities likewise have their own video portals or resort to commercial providers. Especially for introductory events, it can be easier to search for existing videos before considering own productions. In the following, you find some examples of universities that made their videos (partially) available to the public.

Video portal of Paderborn University
On the video portal of Paderborn University, you can find recordings that were produced within the university. Without login, all uncommitted videos are accessible. They can also be inbedded in PANDA, which then requests the login data for students and teachers. To upload video files, permission can be requested at the IMT: imt(at)upb(dot)de  Video portal of the University of Paderborn (https://videos.uni-paderborn.de/)

Harvard University Videos
Harvard University uploads some of its lectures. They can be accessed via YouTube or  iTunes U (iTunes requests the application for your accessing device).

Open Educational Resources

Open Educational Resources (OER) are teaching, learning and research materials in any medium – digital or otherwise – that reside in the public domain or have been released under an open license that permits no-cost access, use, adaptation and redistribution by others with no or limited restrictions. According to German law, renunciation of copyright is not possible.

  • All CC licences contain a notification of the author / holder of rights
